Mini Ninjas
The Mini Ninjas is all about learning the core values of martial arts which transfer into real life transferable skills, we practice techniques, go over a slow process of development to acquire a skill set which will set your young ones up for the rest of their lives. With the age range being 5-8 we make it as fun as we can throughout, we’ll generally finish with games providing everyone has been listening and behaving.
Junior Muay Thai
The 8-12 year olds classes are a similar process to ninjas with a lot more ‘Meat to the bones’ we’ll talk a lot about how things work with distance, increased work rate, bag work, pad work, partner work and we’ll eventually more onto more contact a lot later down the line once the skill set is at a good enough standard to do it safely.
Beginners
Beginners is an introduction to the ‘art of eight limbs’ this 90 minutes class focuses on the tiniest details, which means a lot of doing basics repeatedly at first but once you’ve had a few weeks of fine tuning that, we’ll start to put it all together to create a ‘flow’ getting the pattern, the rhythm, all in sync, advised for all abilities because you never ever go wrong drilling basics.
Mixed
Mixed Ability is a class for those that’s not a raw beginner that’s just started, generally you’ll be able to move into mixed after a couple of months as a regular in the beginners classes. The main difference is the class is higher tempo, more contact with sparring & drills, therefore a little more testing.
Clinch
No clinch, No Muay Thai. This is what Makes Thai different from kickboxing, trips, sweeps, dumps and elbows from an active clinch.
Kickboxing
Similar to Thaiboxing for the uneducated but very different, this class is faster pace with a different rhythm, more boxing oriented, slicker footwork, more volume of work at a fast pace.
Bag Blast
This class is a self serve class so you’ll do your own thing or follow what is on the board, providing you’ve been attending classes you’ll have methods and understanding to how we train so you’ll implement that into a short session.
MMA
MIxed Martial Arts does what it says on the tin, this is Striking, Wrestling & Jiu Jitsu out together to create an all around art of its own, available for everyone from senior school and above for now.
Sparring
This is as real as it gets putting all your skills into practice, everyone can attend and it’s always supervised, we’ll generally finish with a circuit of some description.
Open Mat
Use of the gym whilst it’s open for a surplus charge of £5 or included within your monthly membership.
1-2-1 PT
This is a session all about you, time with that coach 1-2-1 or in a small group to get all the focus and attention on yourself and your goals
Jiu Jitsu
Jitz is a the floor work of MMA, working on the submissions, concentrating solely on the grappling aspect alone, this is very technical but loads of fun, you can learn how to transfer this into real life self defense and turn your mate’s into a human pretzel!
